Dr. Barnette and district leadership met with Hanceville Middle School administration and an architect today regarding an addition to the school, which would replace Edmondson Hall. The building was erected in 1949.
We appreciate Dr. Vicki Karolewics, President of Wallace State Community College, for dropping by Fast Track this morning to visit with some of our students and giving them words of encouragement for this year! Today was their first official day of the Fall semester.
Congratulations to Vinemont High School! We held a ribbon cutting today for the new library, science lab, and classroom space addition. This project turned out great. The library... which was 56 years old... has been housed in a portable during construction. The books are all boxed up and ready for new shelving!

Fairview High School celebrated the beginning of their 100th year as a school with a ribbon cutting ceremony tonight.
Dr. Barnette is meeting today with our wonderful School Resource Officers to update them on new security initiatives in the district. We really appreciate what these men do to protect our students, teachers, and staff.
